Katerina Graham répond à 17 Questions ● ⌡

Pour Seventeen, notre chère Bonnie, répond à 17 questions :

17: As your character Bonnie, you're discovering new powers in each episode. Have you had your own amazing discovery in life?

Katerina Graham: I think it came this year when I was really able to connect with the fans, and I realized that impact that someone in the industry — whether you're an actor or an artist — can have. I have an e-mail ( katgrahammusic@gmail.com) that's set up just for the fans where they write me, and I reply back to every single one of them personally. I got letters everywhere from Romania to Brazil to Japan, and that's really when I realized that I'm part of something so big and I can do so much with what I've been given. I've always been involved with charities and things like that, but when I started communicating with the fans and hearing their stories about the lives they lead, it really made an impact on me.

17: What's the place that is your one go-to for bargain shopping?

KG: It's Jet Rag [in Los Angeles]. They have $1 Sundays, so you can go there and scour, and everything's a dollar. I've even worn stuff I've gotten for $1 there on the red carpet.

17: If you personally were to date one of the characters on the show, which one would it be?

KG: It's so weird because we're all brothers and sisters [in real life], so I can't imagine dating anyone in our cast, but I am Team Salvatore all the way!

17: Who would you say is the funniest person in the cast?

KG: Steve McQueen and I share that throne. I think we're both goofballs.

17: Who's the most serious?

KG: Paul Wesley for sure. He's so serious!

International Fans
“Even though my grandparents live overseas and are so far away and we talk as much as we can, we don’t see each other that often. They just go on YouTube, or they go online and watch the episodes that I’m in, and read the articles I’ve done. It makes them feel like we’re closer because they get to see me daily, or weekly, or however often they want to see my face. And they’re proud of me — they collect all of the articles in a book.”

Ian’s Big Heart
“We had a couple six-year-olds who came to a signing and actually thought that Ian Somerhalder [who plays Damon] was a vampire, and they were terrified of him. We had this one little girl go up to him, and she was really shy, and her mom was like, ‘She has something to tell you.’ And Ian leaned over and was like, ‘What is it, sweetheart?’, and the little girl says, ‘Try to be a good boy.’ And he was like, ‘Okay, sweetie…for you I’ll try.’”

Her First Job
“I did Degrassi for four years. It was my constant, no matter what movie I would do on hiatus or whatever I would do elsewhere, every year I would always go back to Degrassi, to my family, and they really sort of taught me all the groundwork and got me started. Before that I was really green, I didn’t know what I was doing, so it kind of helped ease my path into the whole industry.”
